"I was considering a Kitchen Aid mixer because they are thought to be "the mixer" to have. But after reading some reviews, I was less impressed. Hamilton-Beach has designed an excellent mixer that is well built, works well, and looks good. A plus is that it is not as heavy as a KitchenAid, but works the same way. You are giving up the option to use attachments, which we liked the idea of. But the idea of using them, and actually using them, are two different things. We can buy stand alone kitchen equipment instead of the attachments for less than the added cost anyway.
